Frawgs spotted at GenCon
I know that I’d sent several copies of Attack of the Frawgs to be sold in the Goodman Games both at GenCon, but this is the first known sighting I’ve seen of someone picking themselves up a copy. Ms. +Jen Brinkman, an active member of the DCC RPG community on Google +, seems to have picked herself up a copy. Thanks so much, Jen, and I hope you enjoy Frawgs 🙂

Just read that Attack of the Frawgs was run at Past Present & Future Comics in West Palm Beach, FL by Judge themightyeroc. According to his posting, “…At the end we had a few survivors and lots of casualties.” Ah, just what I like to hear 🙂

In preparation for the launch of the re-booted/re-mastered/re-engineered/re-energized/reinvigorated DCC RPG version of Haunting of Larvik Island, I’ve temporarily turned off order-ability of the D&D version on RPGNow.com to avoid any ordering confusion when the new product launches. If you’re really looking for the 4E version, shoot me an email, and I’ll get a copy to you.

Hello all, for once a positive update! Haunting of Larvik Island almost there… I’m pleased to report that The Haunting of Larvik Island has been submitted to Mr. Goodman for his approval! Woohoo! This approval process is the final step in the publishing process for DCC RPG adventures (well, for the PDF adventures, anyway…) It’s how Mr. Goodman is able to maintain quality control over the DCC RPG materials released with his compatibility logo with his licensed 3rd party publishers. Mr. Goodman is typically pretty good...

So, the multiple delays on this project is one of the prime reasons why I’m so hesitant to use Kickstarter to fund one of these adventures. If you guys had ponied up your hard earned coppers back in Feb when I thought I was close to completion I’d be feeling really guilty right now. Instead, I just feel like I’m dragging ass. Still, there are good (and not so good) reasons for the delays. But here’s the latest. The Haunting of Larvik Island DCC RPG went out to Cat for final layout about a month ago (which was about a month later than I...

One experience I am fortunate enough to enjoy each year is to go down to Comic-Con in San Diego and immerse myself in all the sights, smells, colors, and costumes provided by that event. This year was no different and as usual I was able to snap lots of pictures of the myself alongside the various cosplayers who attend. As an added bonus this year, I learned that Mario Torres was judging a session of Attack of the Frawgs being played nearby at Gam3rCon which was taking place that same weekend. I purchased a ticket for myself and my faithful...

I’ve heard from two judges that Attack of the Frawgs will be on the game floor at 2 upcoming conventions. Gam3rCon 2013: San Diego, CA (July 18-21, 2013) While it’s not yet up on the schedule page, I’ve been told that Frawgs will be held at the following times: Friday July 19, 2013: 6pm – 11:30pm Saturday July 20, 2013: 2pm – 7:30pm More info can be found on the Gam3rCon website. And as a special treat (to me anyway…) As I goto ComicCon each year, I have purchased tickets to that convention and will...

Remaster? Conversion? Rewrite? As you all hopefully know, I’ve been busy over the last few months remastering The Haunting of Larvik Island to DCC RPG. As I talked about here it has been a multi-step process. One of the tenets of making this a “remaster” vs. a “conversion” as I didn’t just want to convert the text blocks, I wanted it be DCC RPG native from the ground up. In fact, it is probably more accurate to say that this has been a “re-write” of the adventure as the time I’ve spent...

Here’s the latest folks: Writing Update: Larvik 1 DCC Remaster. Writing is “feature complete” as we’d say in my software life. Now going through playtesting and will make modifications based on those changes. Commissioned new artist for interior maps and they look great, and commissioned Tony to update the cover, player handouts, and original island maps to make look more DCC-oldschool vs. the original 4E polished look. Larvik 2: My brother and I made a decision last week to split this into 2 modules: one direct Larvik...
