Stronghold of the Wood Giant Shaman (Now Available)

Posted by on 8:40 pm in DCCRPG | 0 comments

These are not your father’s giants… Wood giants—animalistic evolutionary ancestors of hill giants—have emerged from the forests of the Fulthon Mountains to harry and pillage human villages with impunity. Ferocious and feral, they kidnap the weak to sacrifice in their barbaric rituals. Decades ago, your ancestors—stout and brave adventurers of renown—eliminated a previous giant threat, and thus people expect such heroism from you. But not is all at it seems, as a chaotic force lurks behind the scenes. And if survival against a stronghold of...

Shaving Head for St. Baldrick Foundation

Posted by on 9:22 pm in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Devo and I shaved our heads today in order to raise money for St. Baldrick Foundation, an organization dedicated to conquering childhood cancers. Wasn’t such a big deal for Devo, as he usually keeps his hair that short, but for me… well, let’s just say I’m still getting used to feeling wind on my scalp. I suppose I should now write up St. Baldrick as a patron.                                      ...

What to do with 4E version of Larvik?

Posted by on 10:03 am in 4ED | 0 comments

Once upon a time, I published my first module: a 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons adventure called The Haunting of Larvik Island. I was proud of the story and creatures I’d come up with for this adventure, but was never quite happy with the 4E mechanics. Luckily Goodman Games published Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG, I converted the module, and the rest is history. The original 4E Larvik didn’t sell nearly as well as I thought it would (as an example: the DCC RPG version sold as many copies in the first month of its release as the...

So, I was very surprised to see that our name in the listings for 2014 ENnie’s Fan’s Favorite Publisher. Disisiyan For the last 6 months I was running my alpha playtest for my upcoming adventure “TSA-004”. This new adventure has a couple of new giant-like creatures in it, specifically, Wood Giants and Squatches (more details on that as once I officially announce the adventure and all its deatils, suffice to say, it’s currently in editing phase and will soon enter layout phase…) Anyway, one of the playtesters is Josh Agee, who just happens to be a linguist by trade. When during the course of the adventure the situation...

Chained Coffin Kickstarter is Live

Posted by on 8:20 am in DCCRPG | 0 comments

Happy Friday Thickskullers, Wanted to draw your attention the recently announced Kickstarter for the Goodman Games module The Chained Coffin by Michael Curtis. Basically the module is coming out either way, but depending on the Kickstarter, you’ll get a really interesting “feely” (as they used to call such things back in the Infocom days). You can read/listen all about it here: Chained Coffin Kickstarter Reason I’m mentioning here, is this is one of the adventures I actually did playtesting for a few months back....
