GaryCon XI and other updates

Hello Thick Skullers!

It’s been a while since I’ve updated the blog, so wanted to give you an update on what we’re working on.

  • GaryCon – I’ll be at the Grand Geneva slinging dice and giving away stickers. I’ll be running Floating Oasis of the Ascended God and The Corpse That Love Built. While I’ll be busy both in front of and behind the screen, I’m going to be spending as much of my free time as possible in the Grand Geneva Lounge hanging with my Gaming Family. Reach out to me on Facebook Messenger if you’re also there and want to say “Hi!”
  • The Last Will and Testament of Obediah Felkner – I had some Real Life Family Drama over the Christmas Holidays which put the project on hold for a bit, but things are moving again. My fabulous editor Ms. Jen Brinkman has returned the red-lined version of the manuscript and layout has started. While this will not be ready for GaryCon, I’m hoping to have it in stores by early summer (May or June).
  • Black Ink Red Film – I’m about to launch a new podcast with my friend Stephen E. Paine. In each episode, we will discuss one of your favorite horror or sci-fi novels, the movies that were inspired by those novels, their differences, and their lasting legacies.
  • The Haunting of Larvik Island / Stronghold of the Wood Giant Shaman reprints: both of these adventures are now out of print. I’ve reached out to a couple new up and coming DCC authors to create bonus tie-in adventures that can be included with the re-print. I’m doing this for a few reasons: 1) create some new content which can used as tie-in to expand the sessions in the adventures, 2) experiment with working with new authors (as of this writing, everything published from Thick Skull Adventures has been written by me), and 3) hopefully give some new authors their first “by lines”. Still early in this process, but hopefully those will be ready by end of summer.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Grand Geneva!
